CalAcademy Launches the California Volunteer Network!
Calling all treehuggers, nature lovers, animal advocates, and climate activists!
California Academy of Sciences is creating a brand new program called the California Volunteer Network (VN), which will be a statewide network of volunteers who leverage local conservation efforts while building lasting relationships with nature and with each other as a part of their Thriving California initiative. During the 2024 pilot year, we aim to engage and support college students throughout the Bay Area in better accessing volunteer opportunities with conservation-based organizations and agencies, while also helping create meaningful connections between these communities and their local outdoor spaces. As a program for students, CalAcademy wants to gather input from YOU, with your unique needs and interests in mind as they plan the future of this exciting new effort!
CalAcademy would like to invite you to participate in one 60-minute listening session, on your college campus or virtually, to provide your feedback, expertise and ideas for the VN. Free snacks and/or lunch on campus will be provided! If you're interested in attending, please complete this form by Wednesday, January 26th!
Thank you! We look forward to building this network of student nature champions.
