In November, Point Blue once again joined the UN’s annual international climate change negotiations, held this year in Egypt. These negotiations are hugely important in setting the tone for climate action and increasing global ambition towards a safe climate future. And a separate international negotiation, the UN’s bi-annual conference on biodiversity, occurred in December. We were thrilled and proud to send two staff representatives, Dr. Chelsea Carey and Dr. Liz Chamberlin, to this important gathering. You're invited to join this virtual meeting to learn more about what happened in each meeting, why Point Blue attends, and what the meetings mean for action in California and beyond to address the interrelated threats of climate change and biodiversity loss.

Our virtual Zoom event will feature participation from Point Blue Working Lands Research Director & Principal Soil Ecologist Dr. Chelsea Carey, Point Blue Director of Strategic Innovations Dr. Liz Chamberlin, IUCN North America Regional Director Dr. Tracy Farrell, Point Blue Board Member and SFSU faculty member Dr. Sheldon Gen, Point Blue Board Member Geoff Gordon-Creed, and Indigenous Environmental Network, Hoopa Valley Tribe, CO2 Educator Thomas Joseph.
